Returns Policy


Before you fill out your returns form, please read our returns policy below, to make sure you follow all the regulations regarding returns and exchanges.

All items are to be returned to our showroom address:
Unit 1a, Walton Works Industrial Estate, Macrome Road, Aldersley, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV6 9HD, United Kingdom.

When your goods are delivered please ensure that you check them thoroughly within 72 hours of delivery, even if you aren’t fitting/using them straight away, to ensure:

  • You have received the correct item(s).
  • You have received the correct quantity.
  • There are no physical faults or obvious damages.

Please note: SALE items are non-refundable. We will only offer an exchange. Scroll down to view the full policy on sale items.


I’ve changed my mind/no longer want or need my item(s):

If you’ve changed your mind about your order, or your goods are unsuitable for purpose, we are happy to accept unused, uninstalled items, in the original packaging*, at the customer’s cost. Please note, we cannot accept returns that are not in the original packaging.

Want us to arrange courier collection?

We are happy to arrange courier collection for you, if you just drop us an email. This option will have your items returned to us in 2-3 working days. If you are returning the item for a refund, or exchanging for a less costly item. This cost will be taken from your refund. If you are exchanging for costlier item, this charge will be added on. Please note, collection charges are not at a flat-rate and will vary.

Want to return the item yourself?

If you wish to send the item back yourself, that is completely fine by us. To do this, please use Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class, signed for, at your local post office.

How to return/exchange my order:

We will issue a refund or exchange, providing you comply with the following:

  • Please note; all unwanted items are returned at the customer’s cost.
  • Email sales@lightingrus.co.uk to notify us of your return within 14 days of receiving your order.
  • Telephone calls will not be accepted as a sufficient notification.
  • Complete the returns form, issued with your invoice and delivery slip.
  • Send your item(s), within 14 days of receiving your order. Orders that are sent for return after the 14-working-day period will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Items must be unused and uninstalled.
  • Items must be returned in original packaging*.
  • Please note, we cannot accept returns that are not in the original packaging*.
  • A proof or purchase, such as receipt, will need to be enclosed with your item(s) for all returns.
  • Refunds/exchanges will not be processed until we have received your item(s).
  • You must have a proof of postage, in case there are any occurrences with delivery. We cannot issue you a refund/exchange until we have received your item.
  • If the item you wish to exchange to is costlier than the item you initially purchased, please call us on 01902 757825 to pay the difference.
  • If you require a refund, we will issue it within 5 working days of receiving your item(s), minus the delivery cost.
  • Exchanges will take 5-7 working days to be delivered and delivery charges will apply.

My item(s) are damaged or faulty:

In the unlikely event that you receive your goods and they are damaged/faulty, we will do our best to exchange the item(s) or issue you with a full refund, including delivery costs.

If the item has obtained cosmetic damage, we will only accept it back in the original packaging*.

If you know an item is faulty, please do not install it.

How to return/exchange my order:

We will issue a refund or exchange, providing you comply with the following:

  • Email sales@lightingrus.co.uk to notify us of your return within 28 days of receiving your order.
  • Telephone calls will not be accepted as a sufficient notification.
  • We will arrange with our courier to collect your item(s) at your convenience, clear of all costs.
  • Complete the returns form, issued with your invoice and delivery slip.
  • All items must be parcelled in a sealed box, with additional packaging such as bubble wrap, to reduce risk of damage upon return.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any damages upon return if goods are not sufficiently packaged.
  • If goods are returned in just the item box and no outer box, the goods will not be accepted and therefore be returned to you.
  • Please note; you will need to be present at the time of collection. Failure to meet with the agreements will incur a £7.95 delivery cost.

When we receive your faulty/damaged goods, we will check them over thoroughly. If the item(s) are confirmed as faulty/damaged, then we will issue you with a full refund or exchange. If there appears to be no fault/damage, then we will return the goods to the manufacturer for a further inspection. If no fault is confirmed, or the inspection and testing proves the fault occurred for any other reason other than a manufacturing fault, the goods will be returned to you and delivery charges will apply. This process takes 14 working days, upon receiving your item(s).


SALE items:

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds to our SALE items. If your item is unsuitable, we can offer an exchange for a different product. If the item(s) are costlier, please ring 01902 757825 to pay the difference. If the item(s) are lower in cost – we will refund you the difference.


*By original packaging, we mean the original box the item came in. All stickers and writing will need to be in place and any parts included will need to be returned also.
